The ST708 heavy-duty drawer slide is the stainless steel equivalent to the RA7, one of our most popular heavy duty drawer slides, favoured by a range of markets for its strength and reliability the ST708 heavy duty slide is considered a strong performer, capable of carrying medium to heavy loads. Made from stainless steel sections the ST708 is a reinforced three beam heavy duty drawer slide capable of carrying 250kg per pair at 1000mm and being made of stainless steel it is employed in food handling, pharmaceutical, military and off shore applications or applications where high temperatures are the norm.  The ST708 heavy duty slide can comfortably operate in temperatures up to 250c.

As a final touch of refinement we apply an electro-polished coating which enhances its finish, whilst increasing its ability to withstand extreme working environments.

Available with the full range of Locking options this slide has also done good service in military applications for drawer storage systems on defence vehicles and commercial applications. Strong, reliable and corrosion resistant the ST708 heavy duty slide is one of our most popular stainless steel slides.

slam lock from chambrelan

Introducing the New Slam Lock from Chambrelan

A quiet, but popular performer we haven’t reviewed for a long time is Chambrelan’s Slam Lock, with its optional Lock-In-Lock-Out (LILO) action, which allows the drawer to be locked when its reached full extension. The LILO option is operated by a dual lock system, fitted  between the front and the rear of the drawer. They can also be adapted to work in conjunction with our bidirectional slides (DD Options) allowing the drawer to travel back through itself and lock in both the closed and extended position at either end of the slide’s travel.

Manufactured from high quality Grade A plastic, Chambrelan’s slam lock has been designed and tested to take punishing loads in a hard working environment.

Reviewing the E1708 Stainless Steel Telescopic Slide

Nov 4, 2015   //   Product review  //  Comments Off on Reviewing the E1708 Stainless Steel Telescopic Slide
E1708 Stainless steel slide

Superb Strength

Perhaps the most enquired about slide at this years DSEI show was the E1708 stainless steel heavy duty slide. The E1708 is a three sectioned I beam slide, that allows the two opposing beams to work in both directions. The I-Beam designed heavy duty slide allows for greater load capacity and extension, without an increase of the space envelope. This is essential on vehicle builds where space is a premium and load capacity is a must.

In this respect the E1708 can carry massive loads (530kg per pair at a 1000mm closed length). By using 316 grade stainless steel this slide is totally resilient to salt water corrosion and high temperatures, making it ideal for customers in the defence, naval, pharmaceutical and food processing industries.

The E1700 heavy duty slide, the zinc plated carbon steel version of the E1708, has also seen good service in vehicle conversions, especially DIY Camper conversions. Many camper conversions employ our slides for extendable pods, designed at doubling the interior living space of the vehicle.

We have a range of heavy duty slides, everything from light duty aluminium slides ideal for precision movements in electrical applications all the way through to extreme heavy duty slides, built to carry massive loads and even when we don’t have the heavy duty slide for you, we can prototype our current range to fit your application.  In addition Chambrelan are constantly updating and reviewing their manufacturing techniques, improving delivery and quality of our heavy duty slides and linear rail motion systems wherever we can.

Chambrelan launches new D5 Aluminium Slide

Chambrelan Launches D5 Aluminium Slide

Chambrelan Launches D5 Aluminium Slide

We’ve mentioned our latest D5 aluminium slide before, but as more and more orders and enquiries are being made for this light duty aluminium slide, we thought we’d re-examine it’s growing appeal and clarify some of it’s benefits.

Perhaps the lightest slide in the market for its weight class, the D5 heavy duty slide is 1.9kg’s per metre, a third lighter than some of competitors’ products of the same weight and class. Indeed the D5 has incredible weight bearing capabilities, with an impressive 43kg’s per pair on the major access for 1000mm slides in the closed length.

Although the D5 aluminium slide is a reinforced three beam anodised slide it is a compact performer and is a favourite among vehicle builders and electronic vending machine manufacturers where space is at a premium. Reinforced ball-bearings make for a smoother operation, spreading loads and preventing the slide from cage ball creep, which make the D5 heavy duty slide a very competitive aluminium slide.

With a full range of heavy duty slides to choose from Chambrelan UK are the leading manufacture and supplier of telescopic slides in the UK.  Our range has been created to deliver extreme loads for a number of applications including vehicle builders, the defence market, materials handling and a huge number of engineering projects.  In addition our range of linear rail motion systems, with their unique circulatory ball bearing carriers, deliver loads, smoothly and efficiently time and again.  Easy to fit and easy to maintain our products are built to withstand heavy duty loads in the most extreme environments, meaning more security and extra strength where needed.

For further information on the these or on any of our heavy duty slides and linear rails please visit or alternatively contact Jeremy Binnington on 07868 971 089 or Tony Macis on 07868 971 089.
